Bear markets are for BUIDL’ing.

We have picked up our tools and are laying the foundation for the launch of our full-service money market protocol on StarkNet.

Additionally, we have been putting the finishing touches on the Tempus DAO rebrand, which we plan to share with the community very soon. Watch this space!

Our in-depth market commentary and educational pieces have received positive feedback from the community. We plan to improve this type of content and experiment with more graphics, videos and podcasts, so you can keep up with the latest developments in the blockchain/crypto space.

On top of that, we have also been posting a weekly quiz every Wednesday on Twitter to keep you on your toes. Make sure to participate!

🔮What’s Coming

Do you see what we see?

Yes, that’s right. Tempus DAO’s product line is expanding. In addition to our fixed income product, our devs are busy building a ground-breaking money market protocol on StarkNet where users will be able to lend and borrow at both fixed and variable rates and take advantage of other unique features.

We have picked StarkNet as the home for our money market protocol as we believe that its underlying zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology provides a perfect low-cost, high-speed environment for us to build an extremely scalable product that’s accessible to all.

💇Rebrand

As part of the expansion beyond fixed income, Tempus DAO is undergoing a full-scale rebrand to position itself as a multi-product community of Builders, Creators, and Connectors dedicated to launching the next generation of Web3 products.

The big reveal is planned for the upcoming weeks! We hope you’re as excited as we are.

🕺Meet & Greet

Some of the Tempus team attended Permissionless in Palm Beach. Despite the poor market conditions and the LUNA crash, more than 5,000 Web3 enthusiasts attended from all around the world, making the event a grand success!

Next up, the Tempus team will be in Paris for EthCC5, but not in a way you can imagine. We have a first-of-its-kind surprise in store. See you there!

⌨️ Hackathons

We sponsored ETHGlobal’s HackMoney 2022, a virtual hackathon for building DeFi apps.

To kick things off, our CTO Đorđe Mijović hosted a workshop on how to build on Tempus. You can watch the workshop here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phaMwHEDFYo

Some tasty rewards were available to the best hack submissions built on Tempus:

🥇 1st prize: $5,000
🏆 Pool prize: $3,000

The award for first place went to HedgeHog (@aye_shilck) for creating a protocol that creates credits from assets by wrapping and then “splitting” the underlying assets into 1:1 tokens and an NFT of equivalent value. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Tempus Grants Program

The Tempus Grants Program went live in March with an initial ecosystem fund of 5,000,000 $TEMP tokens. Anyone who wants to build on top of Tempus, run affiliate programs, create content or do anything that creates a positive impact on the community can apply for a grant.
